This weekend sees Kingston Cobras head North of the border for the annual Dumfries Demons Dave Webster Memorial Tournament.

The tournament features some of the best teams in recreational hockey and Cobras will be hoping to retain the trophy for the third year running.

To do so will prove a tough test, the new group format introduced in 2015 has almost put together an England vs Scotland match up in the group stages.

Kingston have been drawn in Group B and will face Group A teams Dumfries Demons, Edinburgh Knights, Irvine Flyers, Newcastle Predators and last year’s finalist Paisley Blackhawks.

Joining Cobras in Group B ; Altrincham Bears, Edinburgh Lions, Durham Dragons and Grimsby Lightning.

The top two sides in each group will then face each other in the semi finals. The winner of Group A facing the runner up in Group B and vice versa.

Cobras schedule is as follows:

Saturday 12th March

10.00am – Edinburgh Knights

2.15pm – Irvine Flyers

4.45pm – Newcastle Predators

Sunday 13th March
